About Us

In 1958, Donald C. MacMulkin purchased the Chevrolet franchise in Nashua, NH. In 1965, MacMulkin hired Bernard J. Thompson Sr. as a salesman. Mr. Thompson rose through the ranks and became the number one salesperson year after year. By 1977, he became the General Manager and in 1980, purchased the business from MacMulkin. Mr. Thompson, along with his three sons, Bernard J. Thompson Jr., Thomas C. Thompson Sr. and Jeffrey P. Thompson Sr., ran the dealership and grew it to include multiple franchises, including Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Cadillac, Kia and Genesis. After Bernard Sr’s death in 2013, his eldest son, Bernard Jr. retired and ownership was retained by Thomas Sr. and Jeffrey Sr. Today, MacMulkin is managed by four generations and they continue to grow and maintain the philosophy that the customers are the center of all they do. The family has been able to achieve records, like becoming the World’s Largest Corvette Dealer in 2022, 2023 and 2024, selling the most Corvettes ever sold by a single dealer in one calendar year, and becoming New England’s Largest Volume new Chevrolet Dealer in 2024. The Thompson Family continues to push on to not only break more records, but continue to give their customers the best experience from sales to aftersales.
